MONTEX is a manufacturer of all types of 316 stainless steel products. Equivalent grades for standard SS316, UNS S31600, WERKSTOFF NR. 1.4401 / 1.4436, AFNOR Z7CND17‐11‐02, EN X5CrNiMo17-12-2 / X3CrNiMo17-13-3, JIS SUS 316, BS 316S31/ 316S33.
316 stainless steel has a unique material composition with additions of 0.08 Carbon, 0.75 Si, 2.0 Manganese, 0.03 Sulfur, 0.045 Phosphorous, chromium 16.0-18.0, Molebdenum 2.0-3.0, Nickel 10.0-14.0, N 0.10. 316 SS shows unique physical properties a min. tensile strength of 515 Mpa and a min. yield strength of 205 Mpa, hardness Rockwell B (HR B) max 95, hardness Brinell (HB) of 217 max.
Industries mainly using these 316 Stainless Steel Butt Weld Pipe Fittings, SS 316 PIPE NIPPLES, ELBOW EXPORTER, Tee, Cross, and SS WNR 1.4401 PIPE FITTINGS are manufactured as per the international standards of metal industries by us.
Stainless steel Alloy 316 is used in number of applications like in pharmaceutical plants and food processing units, hospital equipments surgical implants, marine and coastal parts, and industrial equipments that grip the corrosive procedure chemicals that is used to make products such as inks, rayon’s, paper, textiles, bleaches, rubber and photographic chemicals. Important point to consider, SS316 has lower carbon content to evade carbide precipitation in welding functions.
